Design and community in County Durham
KINSHIP is a family-run graphic design studio, based up North.
Founded in 2012 by Sarah Carlton, KINSHIP offer branding and design for a range of projects, particularly for print.
We also hosts monthly coworking sessions called โBilly No Matesโ to connect lone workers in rural areas.
KINSHIPโs aim is to make the world that little bit brighter, one project at a time.

Billy No Mates
Informal co-working sessions for lonely workers in and around Bishop Auckland and Darlington. Sarah set up the group in March 2023 with The Foxโs Tale cafe after craving company as a home worker. With no fancy co-working spaces in rural areas, the โbilly no matesโ gather monthly at local independent venues.

Strike Collective
STRIKE is a new women+ public art collective based in County Durham. Together we use public art to take up space without apology, saying farewell to the many โsorrysโ of the women+ who walked before us. Members are creative practitioners of all mediums, working locally to support positive engagement with the Arts across County Durham and the North East

What itโs like to work with KINSHIP

Sarah was patient and professional as she turned the creative spaghetti from my brain into a strong impactful concept that echoed my values and new direction - I would recommend working with her again without hesitation

From the start, Sarah impressed me with her deep understanding of our branding brief, effortlessly translating our ideas into stunning visuals that exceeded our expectations. She is incredibly easy to work with, always approachable and open to feedback, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable.
